I know this is more of a food than just a drink, but each strawberry has a little less than a shot worth of vodka, so it’s close enough for me.
I mean, just that picture looks like a pretty good night, right? Well I think so. Anyways, I love strawberry shortcake (the dessert more than the character). But in the summer, I don’t want to bake the shortcake part. It’s too hot. So instead, add vodka!
I cut the tops off some strawberries, then threw them in a bowl. After that I poured enough Pinacle Cake Vodka in to cover them. I then refrigerated them overnight, to let them soak in all that tasty vodka.
In the morning I put them on a baking sheet covered in wax paper, and put them in the freezer. I left them for at least 5 hours, to make sure they had time to get nice and frosty. When I took them out I realized the only way to enjoy your strawberry shortcake is with whipped cream, so I plopped some of that on top and voila!
Fangirls. Let me tell you. This was fabulous. They’re a bit strong, so they do taste like vodka, but they also taste like awesome. So try them out. I bet they would also be good if you used them in real strawberry shortcake. Yum.
